1. Have fun.
2. Be good.
3. Don't cheat.
To elaborate:
1. Have fun.
I know that may seem like an obvious thing to state, but I see so many people
get burned out by hunting tuskers for 20 days straight that they actually don't
get to SEE this beautiful world of Dereth. Your level is not what's important, it's your level of enjoyment
that matters most. No matter what level you are there is a world of adventure, excitement, exploration
and interest. Don't be lured into thinking that it's only fun if you're level X or greater. If you find yourself
logging on and not being excited about where you're going to go today, or what you might encounter, then take a step back and ask yourself why. Think you have exhausted everything there is to do in Dereth? Think again. Tired of being a mage? Make a mule into a crazy bower or pick up a mace and start swinging. It's a whole different perspective when you move from mage to ranged to melee. Just HAVE FUN!
2. Be good.
Again, another obvious point but we have a VERY solid respected reputation and I would like to keep it that way. We are known for helping others, and I think that's a pretty good thing to have said about us. I have had VERY few reports of people being rude or of inappropriate behavior. Just stick to the common sense rules. In quests, lowest level goes first - if you see someone's body, see if they're online and offer to recover - don't loot kills unless the person who got the kill either says it's ok or leaves. It's all a matter of being polite. Guess that's the Canadian in me lol
Be polite on the /a channel as well as in public, fellow and private chat. Excessive spamming of either the /a channel or public chat, inappropriate language (keep it PG13 please - think Simpsons not South Park) in any forum or chat channel is not acceptable. Please also see -this link- for more detailed information.
3. Don't cheat.
Unattended Combat Macroing is a violation of the AC CoC as well as ours. If anyone is witnessed by myself or by a guild member, they will be automatically removed from the guild and REPORTED. If someone outside the guild comes to me and says a member was UC Macroing, I will confront the member and ask for an explanation, and if no explanation is forthcoming, they will be removed.
Attended Combat Macroing, tho not against the AC CoC, is frowned on in this guild. Any long-term ACM'ing members will be reprimanded and put on probation. Three strikes and you're out.
